🌸 The Journey of Bloom & Wonder
As an Etsy shop owner — and eventually, after raising my babies, an artisan market vendor — I thought perhaps I’d finally found my “place.”
But in truth... it wasn’t.
Despite pouring hundreds of hours into carefully designing my first collections — pieces that were genuinely well-loved — I knew deep down that neither Etsy nor the vendor scene was the real home for Bloom & Wonder.
On one particularly harsh, windy day at an outdoor market, I filled my booth with all the whimsical decor I could carry. As I walked to my car to grab a few more pieces, a sudden particularly harsh gust of wind hit — and then...
CRASH.
I turned around to see my brand new rattan display stand flat on the ground, three glass pieces shattered. My heart sank. I remember thinking: What the he** am I doing?
That day, it hit me: my goods were simply too delicate for these environments.
I’d found my artistic voice, but everything else felt like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. My joy was slipping away.
I was chasing magic… but I felt the opposite.
So I paused. I spent time in introspection. And I came to a few important conclusions:
✨ First — I wanted to offer more than just my own designs.
I’ve always had an eye for that “special something” — pieces rich in soul, story, and intention.
Scouting out makers and artisans rooted in passionate design and thoughtful details quickly became a bit of an obsession. The truth is, I’ve been doing exactly this my whole life — curating beauty wherever I go.
✨ Second — I needed full creative control.
No more limitations. No more trying to squeeze magic into someone else’s mold.
SO...
I got to work.
I decided to build Bloom & Wonder Shop™ myself — from scratch.
I didn’t study coding or design (Music, actually!), but I pushed forward anyway — armed with dreams, grit, and the quest to add magical little touches, like the cherry blossom cursor. (Please tell me you’ve used it on desktop — it’s everything! :))
I envisioned a space not only for my own original artworks, but for a curated collection of all things enchanting, intentional, and beautifully-made.
And now… it’s here!
